The Xiaomi 15 is expected to be launched in China in mid-October as the first device powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, alongside the 15 Pro. Specs for the Xiaomi 15 have now leaked in China, so let's take a look. It's said to sport a "1.5K" resolution LTPO flat screen, a 50 MP main camera with 1/1.3" sensor size, a 50 MP ultrawide, and a 50 MP 3x telephoto. All of these cameras will allegedly come with large apertures.
The maximum RAM/storage on offer will be
16GB/1TB, and the phone will come with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint
scanner, just as previously rumored. Also expect stereo speakers and a good
vibration motor.
The Xiaomi 15 will be offered in black and
white at least, with some versions having a glass back, others opting for fake
leather instead. While battery capacity hasn't been mentioned, the newest-gen
cells do manage to pack more mAh in the same space, so perhaps there will be a
slight improvement in that area too. So all in all it's looking like a decent
but not earth-shattering upgrade to the Xiaomi 14.
