The Poco Pad became official last month as the brand's first tablet, but so far it's only launched with Wi-Fi connectivity. That said, it now looks like a 5G-capable model is on the way too, as this has been certified for sale in India by BIS.
That also tells us it will be offered in
India, of course. The 5G Poco Pad has the model number 24074PCD2I. As the Poco
Pad is a rebranded Redmi Pad Pro, the Poco Pad 5G will most likely be a
rebranded Redmi Pad Pro 5G.
The Redmi Pad Pro 5G launched at the end
of May with a 12.1-inch 1600x2560 120 Hz LCD touchscreen with 600-nit peak
brightness, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC at the helm, 6/8GB of RAM, 128/256GB of
storage, an 8 MP rear camera, an 8 MP front camera, and a 10,000 mAh battery
with support for 33W wired charging. It runs Android 14 with Xiaomi's HyperOS
on top.
So basically this is identical to its
non-5G counterpart, save for the faster connectivity itself. Expect the Poco
Pad 5G to be exactly the same: a Poco Pad with added 5G.
