OnePlus is working on a new premium tablet model, which could be dubbed the OnePlus Pad 2. This high-end tablet offers top-notch hardware like a flagship grade processor. But ahead of any official announcement, the device was spotted on a popular benchmarking platform. So let’s check it out.
The Chinese brand’s upcoming tablet was
seen on GeekBench carrying the OPD2404 model number. To recall, the original
OnePlus Pad came with the OPD2203 model number. Looking at the benchmark
listing, the device managed to score 2,079 points in the single-core test and
6,077 points in the multi-core test. It managed to achieve these high scores
thanks to an upgrade in processor.
The last gen OnePlus Pad came with the
MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. Although, the newer OnePlus Pad 2 might be
equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. This flagship chipset is
paired with 8GB of RAM, but we can expect other memory variants. This model
runs on the Android 14 OS out of the box. Unfortunately, other finer details
like its specs, design, and more are still at large.
But based on previous reports, the Pad 2
is rumored to sport a tall 12.4-inch display on the front with a 90Hz refresh
rate. There’s a chance it will offer an OLED panel. A massive 9,510mAh battery
pack is expected to power this tablet, which likely supports fast charging. So
stick around for more as we will be providing more updates.
