HMD has already announced the T21 tablet this year, which is a nice and affordable 10-inch 4G device. Apparently, the company is looking to release an even cheaper device dubbed the Tab Lite. It was featured in a nice little leak, showcasing what we would call a classic design with a single rear camera and a single selfie, plus pretty large bezels in an attractive Pink color. Other color options include Black and Blue.
As per the source, the Tab Lite is rocking
an 8.7-inch, HD+ (800 x 1340-pixel) IPS display capable of putting out 560 nits
of brightness. The chipset is a Unisoc T610, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of
storage. Of those cameras we mentioned, the rear one is 5MP and apparently, the
front one is the superior cam at 8MP resolution, f/2.0 and with autofocus. We
applaud the attention to detail in the fact that a selfie camera is likely to
get way more use on a tablet anyway.
The package is rounded out by a 5,500 mAh
battery, capable of 18W fast charging. Apparently, the HMD Tab Lite will be
available in a 4G cellular version, retailing for around € 149. We aren’t sure
whether a cheaper Wi-Fi-only variant will also be released.
