Blackview has released the Oscal Pilot 2 smartphone with a rugged design. The Oscal Pilot 2 has two screens and two LEDS which makes it useful in tough environmental conditions. The new Blackview Oscal Pilot 2 comes in three color options – orange, black, and green. The Pilot 2 can withstand being submerged underwater and also drops from a height of 1.2 meters. Blackview says the Oscal Pilot 2 smartphone can be used within a temperature range of -20ºC to 60ºC. It has a 6.5-inch 120Hz panel with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the screen. The display resolution of the rugged smartphone is 1080 x 2400 pixels. There is another display at the back of the smartphone. This is a round 1.3-inch screen that can be used for displaying notifications.
The Blackview Oscal Pilot 2 is powered by
the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. The standard of the MediaTek chipset puts the
Oscal Pilot 2 in an inexpensive price band. It however offers sufficient power
for the smartphone although this does not include 5G connectivity. The RAM/
storage configuration of the smartphone is 8GB/ 256GB but the storage is
expandable via a memory card. The smartphone is equipped with an 8,800mAh
battery that can be charged at up to 45W.
The Oscal Pilot 2 has a 50MP main camera
with a Samsung isocell GN5 sensor. It also has an ultra-wide camera while the
LED flashlight has a brightness of 170 lumens and a range of 18 meters. The
Pilot 2 rugged smartphone weighs 368 grams and has a thickness of 17mm.
