AOC has launched a new budget-friendly gaming monitor in China, the 24B15H2. The monitor is priced at 489 yuan (US$ 69) and is now available on JD.com. The 24B15H2 features a Full HD (1920×1080) resolution IPS panel with a 100Hz refresh rate. This combination delivers crisp visuals and smoother motion handling compared to traditional 60Hz displays, especially noticeable during fast-paced activities like gaming or scrolling through webpages.
The display comes with a standard
brightness level of 250 nits and a static contrast ratio of 1000:1, with an
enhanced dynamic contrast ratio of 20,000,000:1. The response time is listed at
8ms, which is suitable for most casual gaming applications. The monitor comes
with Clear Vision technology, which sharpens image details and enhances overall
picture clarity, making it ideal for multimedia applications, web browsing, and
detailed work tasks.
The monitor also includes a Blue Light
Filter and employs flicker-free technology, providing more comfort for the eyes
during prolonged use, which can be crucial for professionals who spend long
hours in front of a screen. Coming to ergonomics, the stand only offers tilt
adjustment, but the monitor is VESA 75x75mm compatible for mounting on
third-party stands or walls. Connectivity options are limited to HDMI and VGA
ports, which should suffice for basic needs.
The monitor utilizes a minimalistic design
with slim bezels on three sides, allowing for a near-seamless dual-monitor
setup (additional stand required). The back of the monitor features a classic
black design that should complement most office environments.
