Vivo‘s next S-series phones, the S19 and S19 Pro, have been spotted on China’s MIIT certification platform recently. This suggests their launch might not be far off. Now industry insider Digital Chat Station has leaked some of the key specifications for both phones.
According to the leak, the Vivo S19 Pro
will flaunt a sizable 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1.5K (2800 x
1260 pixels). Powering it up will be a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset with up
to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. For
optics, the S19 Pro will have a triple-camera setup on the rear. It will
consist of a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP telephoto
lens for capturing portraits.
On the front, the phone will have a 50MP
lens for selfies. And keeping all things powered will be a 5500mAh battery with
support for 80W fast charging.
Details on the standard S19 are a bit
scarce for now. The leak suggests it might come equipped with a Qualcomm
Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, positioning it in the upper mid-range tier. It will
be packed with a bigger 6000mAh battery and support the same 80W charging as
the Pro model.
Vivo usually refreshes its S-series
smartphones in six months. Given that the Vivo S18 line debuted in China last
December, we can expect the Vivo S19 series to debut sometime in June. We’ll
keep you updated on any new developments about these smartphones.
