Oppo is gearing up to debut its Reno 12 series of smartphones in its home market of China soon. But ahead of the official launch, the design of the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro along with its color options have been revealed. New images surfaced online showcasing its bright colors.
Official renders of the upcoming mid range
devices were shared on X (formerly Twitter) by known tipster Evan Blass. The
Chinese brand’s Reno 12 series just recently had its design and colors teased
officially. However, only the Silver option of the Reno 12 and the Purple
variant of the Reno 12 Pro were shared by Oppo. Now, the tipster has revealed
more color options for both the base and Pro models.
The Reno 12 can be seen in Light Pink and
Dark Gray/Black colors while the Reno 12 Pro can be seen with Purple and Black
variants. Meanwhile, Silver and Purple variants of the two devices feature
wave-like patterns on the rear. Oppo will unveil the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro in
China on 23rd May 2024. To recall, both models are expected to spot a 6.7-inch
OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the base model may
feature the Dimensity 8250 So, while the Pro variant packs a Dimensity 9200+
chipset.
The Reno 12 series is expected to arrive
in similar storage configurations, namely 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 256GB, and 16GB
RAM + 512GB. A large 5,000mAh battery pack will likely power both devices,
which could support 80W wired fast charging. For optics, the duo gets a
50-megapixel selfie camera and a 50-megapixel triple camera setup on the rear.
