Apple has announced the iPad Pro 2024. As the title says, the new iPad Pro comes with two display sizes namely an 11-inch or 13-inch with both boasting the Ultra Retina XDR panel which can deliver up to 1,600 nits for HDR content and 1,000 nits for typical content.
Inside, it is powered by the new 3nm M4
chip with a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU. Apple claims this offers 1.5x faster
CPU performance than its previous gen and also features Dynamic Caching and
hardware-accelerated mesh shading that helps boost the rendering app
performance.
It also features Apple's most powerful
Neural Engine yet with the ability of 38 trillion operations per second and
advanced Machine Learning accelerators. Apple boasts that the iPad Pro has
outstanding AI performance meant to aid users in demanding workflows. It is
paired with 8GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB/2TB memory options.
Unfortunately, Apple didn't mention the
battery capacity but it chargers using the 20W USB-C cable. For cameras, the
iPad Pro 2024 is equipped with a 12MP wide rear shooter with a LiDAR scanner
and a 12MP landscape front camera. Other features noted are quad speakers and
microphones for entertainment. In terms of connectivity, it has USB-C with
Thunderbolt 3 and USB-4 support while wireless connection uses WiFi6E and 5G
options for cellular variants.
For software, the tablet runs iPadOS 17
out of the box which brings Reference mode for accurate color matching, a stage
manager for multiple windows support, and updates to apps like Logic Pro and
