Redmi Pad Pro is the latest entry in the budget tablet range from Xiaomi. Announced alongside the Redmi Turbo 3, Redmi’s first Pro tablet features a spacious 12.1-inch screen, Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, and a 10,000 mAh battery with 33W charging.
Pad Pro is built around a 12.1 IPS LCD
with a 2,560 × 1,600px resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel brings a
16:10 aspect ratio with 600 nits peak brightness and is protected by Corning
Gorilla Glass 3. Redmi Pad Pro also features quad speakers with Dolby Atmos and
retains the 3.5mm headphone jack. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 sits at the
helm alongside 6/8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage. Pad Pro features an 8MP
ultrawide lens on the front and an 8MP wide lens on the back.
The tablet boots HyperOS based on Android
14 out of the box and supports continuity features with HyperOS phones and
Xiaomi PCs. You can mirror your phone’s screen, share files and mobile data
connectivity between compatible devices, and use the tablet’s display as a secondary
screen wirelessly hooked to compatible Xiaomi PCs. Pad Pro also gets a
10,000mAh battery with 33W charging. Xiaomi is also offering a stylus and
keyboard case which are sold separately.
Redmi Pad Pro comes in grey, green, and
blue colors as well as an exclusive Harry Potter edition that bundles the
stylus, a leather cover, and additional Harry Potter-themed merch.
Pricing in China starts at CNY 1,499
(US$ 207) for the 6/128GB trim and goes up to CNY 1,799 (US$ 248) for the 8/256GB
version. The Harry Potter edition (8/256GB) is priced at CNY 2,999 (US$ 414). Open
sales in China are scheduled for April 15.
