itel quietly listed the new S24 on its website where key features like the Dynamic Bar, 108MP main camera and GPT AI assistant were revealed. The itel S23 was originally revealed back in June 2023 while S23 Plus was introduced in September 2023. Both immediately caught attention for their design, and specs relative to their price.
Several months later, the brand quietly
listed the new S24 on its website. It features a phone with flat sides with
curved corners and a large circular camera module. The back panel is unique
because it uses an innovative 3D Magnetic Particle design while having advanced
Photochromatic color-changing technology.
It comes with a 6.6-inch punch-hole HD
display with a 1,612 x 720 resolution, a
90Hz refresh rate and a 480 nits peak brightness. Inside is the 12nmMediaTek
Helio G91 octa-core processor, Mali-G52 MC2 GPU, 4GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB/256GB
of eMMC storage and 5,000mAh battery with 18W USB-C fast charging. The brand
promises 50 percent battery after 40 minutes of charging. It supports microSD
card expansion.
At the back of the phone is the 108MP
f/1.6 main camera with Samsung ISOCELL HM6 sensor and an LED flash while on the
punch hole in front is the 8MP selfie shooter. Included camera modes include
108MP mode, Super Night Mode, Portrait Master, Movie Master, Video Beauty,
Dual-View video, Video Boost, Super Steady Video Stabilization, Slow-Motion,
Bokeh and more. The phone is only 8.3mm thick and weighs 192 grams.
It will be running on itel OS 13 that
features the new Apple Dynamic Island-like Dynamic Bar and the GPT AI assistant
called Hi Aivana. Lastly, it will come in either Dawn White, Coastline Blue, or
Starry Black. As of this article's writing, the website does not state the
availability and pricing of the device. GizmoChina speculates that it should be
in the sub-USD 150 price range.
