MSI recently launched a new gaming monitor, the MAG 27CQ6PF, offering gamers a quality option at an accessible price. With a retail price of US$ 189 in the U.S., this monitor is set to appeal to those looking for a solid gaming experience without spending a lot.
The monitor features a 27-inch Rapid VA
display, sporting a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, wrapped in a 1500R
curve for an engaging viewing experience. It stands out with a high refresh
rate of 180Hz and a quick response time of 0.5 ms MPRT, aiming to deliver
smooth and responsive gameplay. Adaptive-Sync technology is included to reduce
screen tearing and stuttering.
In terms of visual quality, the MAG
27CQ6PF shines with a peak brightness of 300 nits and a contrast ratio of
5,000:1. It covers 105% of the sRGB color space and 80% of the DCI-P3 color
space, ensuring vibrant and accurate colors. The monitor also supports
8-bit+FRC color depth and Wide Color Gamut technology.
Ergonomics are considered with an
adjustable stand that allows height changes up to 130mm, swivel of +/-30
degrees, and tilt from -5 to 20 degrees. Connectivity options include two HDMI
2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, and a headphone jack, although it lacks USB
ports.
Though initially launched in the U.S.,
with availability from Best Buy or MSI directly, the MAG 27CQ6PF is expected to
see a global release, as indicated by listings on MSI’s regional websites.
