TP-Link introduces its late smart home camera called the Tapo C220 featuring advanced AI and 24/7 monitoring. In terms of design, it is quite similar to its predecessor TAPO C211. It has a sort of ball shape with an image sensor at the center while there's a neck since the camera turns when it detects a person or when there are movements within its range. It tilts 36-degrees horizontally and 114-degrees pan/tilt view.
Speaking of the sensor it has a 2K 4MP QHD
quality camera allowing users to capture highly detailed videos which you can
even zoom in and out aiding users to identify people, objects, or scenarios. TP-Link
also boasts intelligent AI alerts providing users quick notifications. Among
these are baby crying detection, vehicle, pet, meow, bark, and even Glass
detection. These are sent to users in real-time through the Tapo App.
The Tapo C220 offers 24/7 vigilance with
AI detection and improved night vision, allowing for clear visibility in low
light settings up to 30ft. This is especially handy when used with the Pet
Detection and Baby Crying detection features. Moreover, the home camera lets
users scare away unwanted visitors using a sound and light alarm that triggers
attention-grabbing effects. It has Line Crossing detection, and tamper
detection that aid you to be one step ahead in those scenarios.
Additionally, users may tweak their
vigilance with the customizable activity zones, ensuring an ultra focus on
areas that mean the most like the safety of kids in playrooms or staircases.
Another plus is the device's integrated microphone and audio system, which
enables remote communication, TP-link claims.
