Xiaomi has unveiled its new 100W car dual-port charger set in China. The new car charger was announced during the Xiaomi car technology conference and comes with a C to C cable that supports 6A high current.
The new 100W Xiaomi car charger has a
dual-port design and can output a maximum power of 100W at a time. The USB-C
interface has a maximum power of 90W and a maximum current output of 6.1A. The
car charger is compatible with Xiaomi smartphones with 67W and 33W charging
power. The charger has an added UFCS protocol that is compatible with OPPO,
Huawei, and other UFCS phones. The UFCS protocol supports up to 33W fast
charging of devices. The car charger is also compatible with non-Xiaomi mobile
phones.
The Xiaomi 100W car dual-port charger has
a metal elastic contact design and can be used for a 12V/ 24V cigarette lighter
or power ports of popular models. It has an anti-slip shrapnel design making it
fit closely even during bumpy rides. It has a four-color equivalent display and
real-time charging status monitoring. The new Xiaomi car charger has an
expected cycle of 3,000 for USB-A and 10,000 for USB-C. It operates in an
ambient temperature range between -10ºC and 40ºC and will operate seamlessly
under severe cold or heat.
The Xiaomi 100W car dual-port charger is
available from e-commerce platforms like JD.com. It is priced at 99 yuan (US$ 14).
It is expected that the availability of the new Xiaomi car charger will expand
beyond China. The global availability and pricing optics of the Xiaomi car
dual-port charger are however not known at this time.
