Asus has already confirmed that it's announcing the ROG Phone 8 series in China on January 16, and we've even seen an official teaser at the beginning of last month. In the meantime, renders showing the ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro have leaked. Today we have a new set of leaked renders, showing only the ROG Phone 8 Pro from a multitude of angles. The design of the ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro will be almost identical, save for some different lights on the back.
The ROG Phone 8 Pro has a flat display
with a central punch-hole for the selfie camera, itself expected to feature a
32 MP sensor. The right side of the handset houses the power button and volume
controls, while one USB-C port is on the left and another one on the bottom.
The device has a 3.5mm headphone jack. According to previous rumors and leaks,
the ROG Phone 8 Pro will have a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED touchscreen with 165 Hz
refresh rate, HDR10 support, and LTPO tech. At the helm will unsurprisingly be
the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset from Qualcomm, paired with up to 24GB of RAM.
The rear cameras are still a mystery
pretty much, while the battery is expected to be 5,500 mAh with support for 65W
fast charging. The ROG Phone 8 Pro is also said to come with an IP68 rating for
dust and water resistance.
