Say hello to the vivo Y100i – a new smartphone with a 5G chipset, ample storage and a 5,000 mAh battery that was just introduced in China. The device costs CNY 1,599, which is equivalent to US$ 225 or € 205 and is a more affordable alternative to the vivo Y100 with a downgrade in the screen department.
The vivo Y100i featues a 6.64” LCD flat
screen with Full HD+ resolution and one punch hole for the selfie camera. The
fingerprint scanner has moved to the power key on the right side. The chipset
of vivo Y100i is Dimensity 6020. It is built on the 7nm technology and has the
two performance cores of its CPU clocked at 2.2 GHz with the other six
efficiency units are running at 2.0 GHz. RAM is 12GB, while storage is 512 GB,
making the Y100i just the second vivo Y phone with so much room for files,
after its sibling vivo Y100.
The main camera on the back comes with a
50 MP sensor and f/1.8 aperture, and it's joined by a 2 MP secondary shooter.
The selfie camera has an 8 MP sensor. The Y100i has a 5,000 mAh battery that
supports 44W fast charging. Other highlights include OriginOS 3, based on
Android 13, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a dual nano SIM slot.
The vivo Y100i is available in Pink, Blue,
and Black. We have no information on whether vivo will launch this device
outside China, but everything is possible, given how the Y series often makes
it on the international scene.
