vivo S18 and S18 Pro


The S18 series brings an attractive design featuring brocade elements etched on the back glass. You’ll also immediately notice the large camera island which is split between two squares with the top half housing the cameras while the bottom features the AuraLight LED and a dedicated LED flash. AuraLight is programmable with varying light and temperature strengths which adapt to the shooting scenario.

The camera setup on the S18 Pro includes a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.49” Sony IMX920 sensor and OIS, a 50MP ultrawide lens with a Samsung JN1 sensor and a 12MP telephoto module with 2x optical zoom. The S18 gets a 50MP OmniVision OV50E main shooter with OIS and an 8MP OmniVision OV08D10 ultrawide lens.

Both vivo S18 and S18 Pro feature curved 6.78-inch AMOLED displays with 1,260 x 2,800px resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panels feature a punch hole cutout for the 50MP front-facing camera which boasts a 90-degree field of view and autofocus. The selfie cams are also flanked by dual soft LED flash sensors. The two phones bring different chipsets with the S18 Pro opting for MediaTek’s dimensity 9200+ paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The S18 gets Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and is also configurable with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.

The S18 series boots OriginOS 4 based on Android 14 and features 5,000 mAh batteries with 80W fast charging. vivo S18 and S18 Pro come in black, green and silver colors. Pricing for the S18 starts at CNY 2,299 (US$ 322) for the 8/256GB trim and goes up to CNY 2,999 (US$ 420) for the 16/512GB version.

vivo S18 Pro starts at CNY 3,199 (US$ 448) for the 12/256GB version and tops out at CNY 3,699 (US$ 518) for the 16/512GB trim. Open sales for the vivo S18 in China start on December 22, while the S18 Pro will be available from January 13.
