The Doogee S41 Pro launched back in September, now it is joined by two new models in the S41 series – a Max and a Plus. The two newcomers are very similar to the Pro and even more similar to each other. Both the Doogee S41 Max and S41 Plus bring faster chipsets – the Unisoc T606. It’s no powerhouse, but with a pair of Cortex-A75 cores and six A55s, it is miles ahead of the Pro, which had a Helio A22 with a quad Cortex-A53 CPU.
Keep in mind that these phones are in the
€ 100-€ 150 price range, although that is with the current launch promo discounts
of around 40%. The S41 Max is equipped with 6GB of RAM and 256GB storage, plus
a hybrid slot so you can have a microSD card of a second ISM. The cheaper
Doogee S41 Plus, meanwhile, comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB storage (expandable
through a hybrid slot again).
Other than that they are quite similar.
They have 5.5” HD+ displays (18:9) with an 8MP camera on the front and a 13MP
Sony camera on the back. They are powered by 6,300mAh batteries that promise to
last up to 72 hours of normal use. It wouldn’t be Doogee if it didn’t make the
phones extra tough – they are rated IP68 and IP69K (hot water jets), plus
MIL-STD-810H for drop resistance. And they are lightweight by the company’s
standards, tipping the scales at 262g.
These phones are built for work, so they
have to be practical. There is a customizable button on the side and you can
assign three functions to it – one click, double click and a long press. Also,
these can double as a level for hanging a painting or a plumb bob, they can
measure heights and gradients, there is a sound meter and a protractor feature
too.
The Doogee S41 Max can be found on
AliExpress, the Doogee S41 Plus is also on AliExpress. Additionally, the pair
will be sold through Amazon and the company’s own DoogeeMall.
