POCO has started teasing the launch of its POCO X6 series smartphones in India soon. This has the tag line “The Ultimate Predator”. There is also a new teaser video starring the company’s brand ambassador Hardik Pandya which says the hunt begins soon without revealing any other details.
POCO has also confirmed that the X6 series
will be the first to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity-8300 Ultra, the same SoC
that is used in the Redmi K70E, and it should be a rebranded version of the
device and is expected to launch as POCO X6 Pro. The Dimensity-8300 Ultra is a
huge upgrade compared to Snapdragon 778G used in the POCO X5 Pro, so we can
expect a price increase.
To remind you, the Redmi K70E packs a
6.67″ 1.5K OLED screen with up to 1800 nits peak brightness, 120Hz refresh rate
and 1920Hz PWM high-frequency dimming. It has 5000mm² vapor chamber cooling, up
to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage, glass back, plastic frame, 64MP
rear camera, 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro camera. The phone packs a huge,
5500mAh battery with 90W fast charging.
Earlier rumours revealed that POCO X6 5G
will be the rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, which is all set to
launch in India on January 4th, so POCO X6 and X6 Pro will likely launch on the
same date. There are also rumours of POCO X6 Neo, which is said to be a
rebranded version of Redmi Note 13R Pro. The POCO X6 series will be sold on
Flipkart, similar to other POCO phones. We should know more details in the
coming weeks, before the launch, which is expected sometime in January 2024.
