Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the new X Series, i.e., the Poco X6 and Poxo X6 Pro 5G, globally. The new lineup will succeed the Poxo X5 series, which was globally launched earlier this year. However, Xiaomi has not confined it officially, but the smartphone has already appeared on Thailand’s NBTC, IMEI, India’s BIS, and other certifications. The smartphone today has made it to the FCC, where some details have been unwrapped.
The listing confirms the smartphone is
running HyperOS 1.0, and it will feature three different storage variants. The
smartphone’s build also changes with different storage variants, here are more
details
- 12GB RAM+512G Variant Will Come with a Plastic Frame
- 8GB RAM+256G will also feature a Plastic Frame
- 12GB RAM+512G will use PU Frame
Well, this seems quite absurd that Poco is
shipping Plastic Frame for its mid-range smartphones. However, the Poco X6 Pro
is slated to be the rebranded version of the Xiaomi Redmi K70E, while the Poco
X6 will be the rebranded Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G. The presence of a Plastic Frame
on the Poco X6 Pro 5G seems to confirm it as the rebranded Redmi K70E, as the
device also features a Plastic Frame. It is quite difficult to conclude
specifications until any official confirmation arrives.
However, the Poco X6 5G recently arrived
at Geekbench unveiling some information about its specifications. The
smartphone is expected to feature a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC with 12GB RAM. It
is running Android 13. We expect the Poco X6 5G to feature a 6.67-inch, 12-bit,
120Hz Dolby Vision AMOLED display with 1800 nits of peak brightness, a large
200MP, f/1.7, OIS-enabled main camera, and a 5,100 mAh battery with 67W fast
charging. The Poco X6 Pro 5G will feature a 6.67″ 1.5K OLED screen with up to
1800 nits peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the
Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC along with LPDDR5X RAM and up to UFS 4.0 storage.
The smartphone appears to bundle a triple
rear camera consisting of a 64MP primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP
macro camera. Other specs will also match the Redmi K70E which was launched a
week ago in China. The smartphone was launched at the starting price of 1999
Yuan which roughly translates to US$ 282.
