The OnePlus 12 is scheduled to launch tomorrow (Dec. 5) in China. In October, OnePlus officially acknowledged the OnePlus Ace’s existence; however, it is not expected to debut alongside the OnePlus 12 tomorrow. According to a Chinese tipster, the OnePlus Ace 3 is anticipated to be revealed later this month in China. Tipster WHYLAB has claimed that the OnePlus Ace 3 will be announced later this month. However, a screenshot of an upcoming device available on a Chinese retailer site reveals that the Ace 3 is scheduled for a launch on Dec. 17.
If the launch date is accurate, likely,
the brand will officially confirm its launch date in the coming week. Here is a
look at the rumored specifications of the OnePlus Ace 3. According to reports,
the OnePlus Ace 3 will arrive with a 6.7-inch BOE-supplied OLED panel with
curved edges. It will offer a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Like
the OnePlus 12, the Ace 3 will run on ColorOS 14-based Android 14.
While the OnePlus 12 will feature the
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the company has reportedly settled for the
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 to power the Ace 3. The device may arrive with up to 16 GB
of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The Ace 3 may pack a 5,500mAh battery with
100W charging. For photography, it will have a 50-megapixel IMX890 main camera
with OIS support, an 8-megapixel IMX355 ultra-wide lens, and a 32-megapixel
IMX709 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. It is likely to feature a
16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. In the Chinese market, it will
compete with the likes of the Realme GT 5, the Redmi K70, and the upcoming iQOO
Neo 9.
For those who don’t know, the OnePlus Ace
3 is rumored to be rebranded as the OnePlus 12R in the global market. OnePlus
may likely unveil it for the global audience on Jan. 23 along with other
devices, such as the OnePlus 12 and the OnePlus Buds 3 Pro TWS earbuds.
