LG X Power 2 is likely to make its debut on the
market in June. Although the smartphone will be rolled out globally, the first
country to get it is South Korea.
The Korean media reports LG has decided to introduce
the X Power 2 in the country in early June. All three major carriers in South
Korea will sell the smartphone for around US$ 265 outright.
LG wants to get some feedback from
consumers regarding the phone's battery capacity before launching the X Power 2
in other countries. As some of you might have read already, the LG X Power 2
will be released in the United States as well, and U.S. Cellular will be among
the carriers that will offer the smartphone.
The X Power 2's main selling point is the massive
4,500 mAh battery, as well as the fact that it ships with Android 7.0 Nougat
right out of the box. According to LG, customers will be able to use the X
Power 2 for a whole weekend with just one charge. Moreover, the South Korean handset maker claims that
phone's battery can last for 15 hours of video playback or 18 hours of Internet
browsing.
LG X Power 2 features a larger 5.5-inch display that
supports HD (720p) resolution. The phone is equipped with a 1.5 GHz octa-core
MediaTek MT6750 processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB expandable storage.
The 13-megapixel rear-facing camera features the
“zero shutter lag,” which allows users to snap pictures the moment they press
the camera button. Also, the front-facing camera comes with a dedicated LED
flash for better selfies in low-light environments.
