Honor announced the Tablet 9 alongside the 90 GT. The new mid-range slate is aimed squarely at multimedia consumption and content creation. The tablet has a thin and light all-metal body - it's 6.96mm thin and weighs 555g (559g in the Soft Light version,). You can have the Honor Tablet 9 in White, Blue, or Gray, and with either 8GB with 128GB or 256GB of storage, or 12GB with 256GB or 512GB of storage.
The chip in charge is the Snapdragon 6 Gen
1 - an efficient 4nm SoC with an eight-core processor (4x Cortex-A78, 4x
Cortex-A55). Up front is a 12.1-inch IPS LCD with a 2560x1600px resolution and
500 nits of brightness. The panel uses anti-glare glass etching to eliminate up
to 98% of reflections. It's certified with the Winning Bidding Institute for
visual comfort and has TÃœV Rheinland clearance for non-reflection, low blue
light, and being flicker-free.
You can purchase the Honor Tablet 9 with a
special paper-like screen protector Honor calls the Soft Light. It makes
writing and drawing on the display more enjoyable with a stylus. Honor's Notes
app supports voice-to-text and has templates for drawing. The audio credentials
on this tablet are impressive - you get 2 microphones and 8 (yes, eight)
speakers for true surround sound. Honor has gone further with software with a
self-developed voice enhancement algorithm that can suppress noise and
accentuate voices even from a recording.
Finally, the Honor Tablet 9 has an
8,300mAh battery with 35W charging, and runs Honor's MagicOS 7.2, based on
Android 13. The Tablet 9 is on sale today starting at CNY 1,599 (INR 18,600)
and there's a CNY 100 discount. The 8/256GB model is CNY 1,699 (INR 19,800),
the 12/256GB is CNY 1,999 (INR 23,800), and the 12/512GB is CNY 2,199 (INR
