Sony India has introduced its latest APS-C mirrorless camera, the α6700 (ILCE-6700). This camera blends advanced still image and video features from the full-frame Alpha and Cinema Line series with the compact design of the α6000 series, making it Sony’s most advanced APS-C mirrorless camera. The α6700 boasts a 26.0-megapixel APS-C back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor and is powered by Sony’s BIONZ XR processing engine, ensuring exceptional imaging performance in a compact form. It supports 4K video recording at up to 120fps, offers a wide dynamic range of 14+ stops, and features the S-Cinetone picture profile for professional-looking movie imagery without the need for color grading.
The camera’s sensor provides high
sensitivity from ISO 100 to 32000, delivering low-noise shooting for both
photos and videos. It incorporates Creative Look features for unique visual
expressions and an AI processing unit for accurate Real-Time Recognition AF,
identifying various subjects for creative flexibility.
The α6700 is compatible with a range of
E-mount lenses, including the recently launched FE 70-200mm F4.0 G Macro OSS
II, expanding shooting capabilities. It harnesses 6K-equivalent data for
superior 4K video output, supports high-frame-rate recording at 4K 120fps, and
features S-Log for excellent gradation. With a compact design and weighing
approximately 493g, the α6700 is highly portable. It includes a user-friendly
vari-angle LCD monitor, touch menu, customizable dials, and optical 5-axis in-body
image stabilization for stable shots. Connectivity options include support for
the Creators’ App for easy uploads to cloud services.
Sony has prioritized sustainability, using
recycled plastic in camera bodies and actively reducing environmental impact.
The α6700 also features a Screen Reader function for audible menu and video
playback assistance, catering to a diverse range of creators.
