OnePlus is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a big event in China on December 4, when the OnePlus 12 smartphone will be unveiled to the local audience. The global launch is set to happen somewhere in January 2024, according to tipster Max Jamboor, who's got excellent record with OnePlus leaks. The leak suggests the arrival of the “OnePlus 12 series”, meaning there will be more than one phone. Whether it will be a more powerful 12 Pro or a toned-down 12R, we are yet to see. There could also be a Lite version – in the world of rumors, possibilities are endless.
OnePlus 12 is expected to have a 6.82”
LTPO panel, developed by BOE, with up to 2,600 nit peak brightness. We also
expect a new triple camera with a main 48 MP dual-layer Lytia 808 sensor by
Sony, a 3x telephoto camera with a 64 MP OmniVision OV64B sensor, and a 48 MP
ultra-wide shooter.
The phone is most likely to have a
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and 100W wired charging support, at least in China.
We have to wait until January to learn whether OnePlus addressed the way the
SuperVOOC adapters work in 110V sockets or the US variant will again have
slightly downgraded charging speed like the OnePlus 11.
