Xiaomi’s ecological chain partner Haylou has launched a new smartwatch for the global market. The watch known as the Haylou S8 smartwatch utilizes an AMOLED display technology among other premium features.
The Haylou Watch S8 comes with a diagonal
screen length of 1.96 inches. The AMOLED display has a resolution of 410 x 502
pixels and its rounded display highlights a premium offering that is also
affordable. The Haylou Watch S8 also comes with Bluetooth calling and health
monitoring functionalities. The Haylou Watch S8 only has a button on the
right-hand side and a rotating crown. It supports full touchscreen operations
and its design bears a close semblance to that of the Apple Watch Pro. The
smartwatch has a battery life of 8 up to days, thanks to its 270mAh battery. It
weighs 58.5g and a special Bluetooth chip is used to achieve more stable
connections during calls. Telephone calls can be initiated or received using
the watch. The Haylou Watch S8 also supports smart assistants which may be
deployed via a smartphone.
The Haylou S8 smartwatch can measure blood
pressure, heart rate, and blood oxygen levels. There is no independent
assessment of the accuracy of the S8’s blood pressure measurements yet. The
smartwatch is available in at least two color options for its watch strap
including black and silver. The Haylou Watch S8 is available directly from
Haylou at a price of US$ 35. Availability of the device is expected to
subsequently extend to retailers like AliExpress and Amazon.
