The Vivo Y200 5G was launched in the Indian market. However, it appears that this wasn’t the only Y series device that was announced by the company, as the brand even launched the Vivo Y55t model in its home market of China. Vivo had even announced the Y33t and Y78t models in the Chinese market recently, so let’s have a look at the latest device.
The Vivo Y55t sports a 6.64-inch LCD panel
that offers Full HD+ resolution, 550 nits of peak brightness, and a standard
60Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity
6020 SoC (which is basically the Dimensity 700) that is paired with 8GB of RAM
and up to 256GB of internal storage. Notably, buyers can expand the storage by
up to 1TB thanks to its memory card slot.
A large 5,000mAh battery pack powers this
device, which supports a humble 15W fast charging. This device runs on OriginOS
3 out of the box, measures 8.07mm in thickness, and weighs 190 grams. The rear
features a 50-megapixel dual camera setup, while the front houses an
8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calls. Other notable features include
a 3.5mm headphone jack, golden rings around the two rear cameras, a 240Hz touch
sampling rate, and a side mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Chinese smartphone maker has just
announced the Vivo Y55t in two storage configurations, namely 8GB + 128GB and
8GB + 256GB. The former has an introductory price tag of 999 Yuan (US$ 136) while the latter is selling for 1,199 Yuan (US$ 164). This model will go on sale on 25th October 2023 and it will arrive in
multiple color options. This includes Black, Purple, Green, and Blue.
