Samsung quietly uploaded a couple of entry-level tablets on its websites three weeks ago, but now it has officially kickstarted their global rollout after the limited India release. The Galaxy Tab A9 and Galaxy Tab A9+ with light bodies, straightforward design and attractive prices. The Galaxy Tab A9 is built around an 8.7" LCD, while the Tab A9+ ups the diagonal to 11". They are significantly lighter than the respective Tab S9 and Tab S9 FE variants, but feature smaller batteries too.
Samsung equipped the A9 with a 5,100 mAh
cell while its Plus sibling has a 7,040 mAh cell. Both charge at just 15W and
the adapter is not provided, so you have to buy one separately. Each tablet has
two connectivity options – Wi-Fi only or cellular. The Tab A9 comes with LTE, while
the Plus has 5G, suggesting that reports about Helio G99 and Snapdragon 695
chips are likely correct. Samsung has not officially confirmed the chipsets of
the two tablets.
Samsung is offering the Galaxy Tab A9 and
Tab A9+ in three colors – Graphite, Silver, and Navy Blue. Exact pricing will
be confirmed for each specific market.
