Sony has announced the launch of the ZV-E1, a compact vlog camera with a 35mm full-frame image sensor, in India. This follows the release of the Sony ZV-1F Vlog camera in April of this year. The ZV-E1 camera features a 12.1 MP back-illuminated CMOS Exmor R sensor, delivering low noise, high sensitivity, and beautiful bokeh.
Powered by the BIONZ XR image processing
engine, the ZV-E1 offers up to 8 times more processing power for improved
performance, color reproduction, and low-noise capabilities. It can shoot 4K
video at 120p and records 10-bit 4:2:2 video without pixel binning, ensuring
high-resolution footage with no moiré or jaggies.
With Real-time Recognition AF, the camera
can accurately track subjects even when they are facing away or in challenging
conditions. It also includes AI-based Auto Framing, ensuring subjects stay
centered during video recording. The ZV-E1 offers various creative features,
including Cinematic Vlog Setting for a movie-like feel, Creative Looks for
unique styles, and Product Showcase Setting for smooth focus transitions. It
also provides in-camera time-lapse creation and high-performance 3 capsule
microphones with windscreen for clear audio.
The camera’s design is optimized for
vlogging, with a vari-angle LCD screen, grip, and control layout. It is
lightweight, dust, and moisture resistant, and offers extended recording with a
high-capacity Z battery and USB PD support for fast charging. Moreover, the
ZV-E1 is eco-friendly, with a windscreen made from recycled PET bottles and
sustainable packaging materials like bamboo, sugar cane, and recycled paper.
The ZV-E1, with its accessibility features
and Creators’ App, provides all users with an effortless and user-friendly
experience. It can also function as a 4K webcam when connected to a computer or
smartphone via USB.
