The second-generation Samsung smart tracker already passed through NBTC and FCC a couple of weeks ago so it's only a matter of time before it hits the market. We even had a good look at the SmartTag 2 from the FCC listing.
According to UK retailer MobileFun, the
company will announce the SmartTag 2 in October and we even got some
official-looking renders of the device in two colors - black and white.
Reportedly, the new tag will support UWB connectivity by default so you don't
have to spend more for a plus variant this year. It will also likely work with
Google's Find My Device function, which all Android phones support.
