In May, a mysterious Oppo phone with the model number CPH2577 was approved by Indonesia’s TKDN authority. The device received approval from India’s BIS regulatory body in June. Recently, the device also obtained approvals from the FCC and TUV Rheinland authorities. However, none of these certifications revealed the final marketing name of the device. Now, the device has appeared in Thailand’s NBTC certification database, confirming that it will be called the OPPO A58 when it is released in the market.
To recap, Oppo had previously unveiled the
Oppo A58 5G and Oppo A58x 5G in China last year. The CPH2577 Oppo phone that
has been spotted at multiple certification sites is actually the 4G version of
the Oppo A58. The TUV Rheinland, NBTC, BIS, and TKDN certifications haven’t
disclosed any significant details about the device. However, the FCC documents
have revealed some of its key specifications. The Oppo A58 (4G)’s FCC documents
have revealed that the device measures 7.99mm in thickness and weighs 191
grams. It houses a 5,000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging.
It also reveals that the Oppo A58 will
come preloaded with Android 13 and ColorOS 13.1. The other details of the phone
are yet to be revealed. With multiple certifications under its belt, it appears
that it will not take too long for the smartphone to go official in markets
like India, Indonesia, and Thailand. In related news, Oppo has recently
launched the Oppo Reno 10 series of smartphones in India. The Reno 10 Pro 5G
and Reno 10 Pro+ 5G, which are priced at Rs 39,999 and Rs 54,999, respectively,
are available for purchase starting today in the country. As far as the Reno 10
5G is concerned, the brand will confirm its price on July 20.
