Honor X50 is set to launch in China on July 5 as the latest mid-ranger from the company. The smartphone features a familiar design, but it exudes a very premium look. Up until now, Honor has teased the X50 in orange, silver, and light blue color options. However, today the brand unveiled another shade for the device— black. This new color option sets the smartphone apart from the crowd.
According to a recent teaser on Weibo, the
Honor X50 will also come in a new black color. The company calls it “Elegant
Black Edition” but we’ll settle for black. As pictured in the poster, the Honor
X50 in black looks quite premium and certainly better than most mid-rangers in
the market. The circular ring on the back makes the device stand apart from the
rest of the Android pack. The handset has a curved back with a sleek finish.
Previous reports have revealed the new
phone will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, a mid-range processor
manufactured on the 4nm process node, with 4 ARM Cortex-A78 cores and 4 ARM
Cortex-A55 cores, as well as Adreno 710 graphics processor. Honor X50 could be
equipped with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB storage and run Android 13 out of the
box.
The screen of the Honor X50 is supposed to
be a 6.78-inch AMOLED with a resolution of 2652×1200 pixels and an underneath
fingerprint scanner. There could be an 8MP front-facing camera. For
photography, the device may get a 100MP main camera and a 20MP secondary
shooter. It could pack a 5800mAh battery unit with support for 35W fast
charging.
