Garmin has launched a new smartwatch in India. The latest offering from the wearables maker is called the Garmin Approach S70. It is aimed at golf enthusiasts and packs a host of features.
The Garmin Approach S70 series features a
circular dial and is offered in two sizes 42mm and 47mm. The former has a
1.2-inch display whereas the latter comes with a 1.4-inch screen. Both models
have an AMOLED panel with a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels. The screen is
shielded by Gorilla Glass 3. The wearable device has three buttons on the right
side and it is water-resistant up to 5 meters.
Coming to the Garmin Approach S70’s USP,
it is tailored for golfers in mind and packs over 43,000+ pre-loaded golf
courses. It also provides club recommendations based on wind speed and other
features like green view, pinpointer, hazard view, distance to green, swing
data, and more to strengthen the game.
Other health-related features on the
Garmin Approach S70 include a heart rate monitor along with heart-rate
variability, stress and advanced sleep tracker, SpO2 sensor, body energy
monitor, women’s health, and hydration reminder. The wearable device is also
capable of monitoring fitness age and enhancing the user’s flexibility, skills,
and injury prevention abilities. It also comes with a jet lag advisor.
The Garmin Approach S70 is equipped with
32GB onboard storage for storing music. It packs safety tracking features like
live track, incident detection, and assistance. The smartwatch features a
built-in GPS, Bluetooth, and NFC. It is capable of offering convenient features
like notification display, stock updates, and more. The Approach S70 is claimed
to offer up to 16 days of battery life under normal usage and 20 hours with GPS
enabled.
The Garmin Approach S70 42mm is priced at
Rs 72,990 whereas the 47mm variant costs Rs 78,490. The former is offered in
Powder Grey and White colors whereas the latter comes in a Black option. The
smartwatch can be purchased from Amazon India, the official Garmin Store, and
Synergizer.
