Audio products manufacturer Edifier has launched a new sleek gaming earbuds. The product dubbed Edifier HECATE GX05 gaming headset is a new wireless gaming headset priced at 799 yuan (US$ 112). The earphone box features a unique triangular design and is made of zinc alloy, giving it a sturdy and durable build. The mechanical structure of the headset is complemented by three sides embedded with light bars, offering 11 different light effect options for customization.
In terms of sound quality, the Edifier
GX05 utilizes a 10mm ultra-broadband titanium-coated film-coated unit. The
titanium coating allows the unit to achieve high-frequency extension up to
40kHz, resulting in excellent resolution and detailed audio reproduction, particularly
beneficial for immersive gaming experiences.
The headset is equipped with an LHDC 5.0
encoder, enabling 96kHz/24bit decoding capability. It has obtained the Hi Res
AUDIO wireless certification, indicating its ability to deliver high-quality
audio wirelessly. Additionally, the GX05 supports Bluetooth 5.3 and features
ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) for smart call noise reduction.
In terms of connectivity, the Edifier GX05
supports FlashSpeed 2.4G with a low 15ms delay, allowing for a responsive and
lag-free gaming experience. It also offers simultaneous connection capabilities
for both 2.4G and Bluetooth devices, making it compatible with various gaming
devices such as mobile phones, the Nintendo Switch, and iPad.
Regarding battery life, the GX05 provides
4.5 hours of usage on a single charge. However, with the charging case, the
total battery life can be extended to up to 16 hours. The headset supports 2C
fast charging, allowing for quick and convenient recharging. The new gaming
earbuds are available presently in China via Jingdong (JD.com).
