Teclast introduced the P25T, a budget-friendly 10″ tablet, in February, priced at under US$ 100. Now, the brand has unveiled the Teclast T40S, which offers a 2K IPS display and comes with a price tag of under US$ 200. Let’s delve into the specifications and features of the Teclast T40S.
The Teclast T40S showcases a 10.4-inch IPS
display with a resolution of 2,000 x 1,200 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz.
However, it is worth noting that the tablet does not appear to have Widevine L1
certification. Consequently, it may not support HD streaming from platforms
like Netflix.
Similar to other Teclast tablets, the T40S
combines a high-resolution display with an entry-level chipset. Teclast has
equipped the tablet with a MediaTek MT8183, an 8-core chipset built on a 12 nm
process. It is paired with 8 GB of RAM and offers 128 GB of storage. The tablet
weighs 475 g and features a 6,000 mAh battery, along with a 5 MP front-facing
camera and a 13 MP rear-facing camera.
The Teclast T40S is currently available
for purchase on AliExpress at a price of $172.29. This price includes
additional accessories such as a power adapter, a USB cable, and a SIM tool.
Furthermore, the tablet is also being sold on Amazon in specific countries,
including Germany and the UK. In the UK, the Android 12 tablet is priced at
£ 129.99 with a £ 40 voucher applied, while in Germany, it is available for
€ 149.99.
