Next month, Samsung is hosting the Galaxy Unpacked event in South Korea to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5, where it's also expected to make the Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic official. We got our first look at the Galaxy Watch6 Classic last month, which has now appeared in official-looking images with the vanilla Watch6, showing the smartwatches in different colors.
The source claims that the Samsung Galaxy
Watch6 will come in silver, black, and beige colors in two sizes - 40mm and
44mm. The Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic, on the other hand, will come in 43mm
and 47mm sizes with two color options - black and silver. However, we might see
Samsung introduce more colors later on. Samsung has used Sapphire Crystal Glass
for both smartwatches, and they will also have 5 ATM water resistance and LTE
connectivity. The images shared by the source reveal the Galaxy Watch6's 40mm
model with LTE connectivity will have model code SM-R935F, while the 44mm version
has model designation SM-R945F. The 44m variant without LTE connectivity will
sport model number SM-R940.
The Galaxy Watch6 Classic's 43mm version
with and without LTE connectivity will have model designations SM-R955F and
SM-R950, respectively. The Watch6 and Watch6 Classic will be powered by the
Exynos W930 SoC, with the Classic model featuring a physical rotating bezel.
Today's renders also show the Classic model with leather straps and a regular
pin buckle, while the previously leaked images showed it with a silicone band
and a magnetic clasp.
Samsung has said the Galaxy Unpacked event
will happen in late July but is yet to confirm the date. Rumors claim it will
take place on July 26. Regardless, we'll likely hear more about the Galaxy
Watch6 series as we inch closer to the event.
