The Maimang brand was introduced as a collaboration between Huawei and China Telecom. As the former was banned from selling 5G devices, it transferred the ownership wholly to the latter in 2022. Since then, the carrier has been releasing 5G-enabled handsets. The latest one called Maimang 20 was just launched in April. Two months later, the operator has confirmed to debut yet another phone later this week.
The upcoming Maimang-branded smartphone is
officially called Maimang A20 5G. It is scheduled to launch on June 15. The
teaser poster for the phone reveals its main camera. It also slightly showcases
the design. From the image, we can tell that the handset will sport a 50MP main
camera. Further, its design resembles the Huawei Enjoy 50z (aka Huawei Nova
Y61) from last year.
Thus, there’s a chance that Maimang A20 5G
could be a 5G version of Enjoy 50z for China Telecom customers. If this is the case, then we can expect the
device to arrive with a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a dewdrop notch. It may have
two 2MP sensors for macro and depth on the rear and a 5MP front-facing camera. For
biometrics, it will likely feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Finally,
it could be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 22.5W wired charging.
Anyways, we will know everything about
this product soon as it is only a few days away from going official.
