China-based tech giant HUAWEI has just launched its newest fitness band in the country—Band 8. It boasts an ultra-thin design, scientific sleep tracking, and long battery life. In particular, the HONOR Band 8 uses a 1.47-inch AMOLED screen with super slim bezels at 578 sq mm. The device measures 143.45 x 24.54 x 8.99 mm and 164 g without strap.
The straps come in 3 variants.
It arrived in a durable Midnight Black TPU Strap, soft on the skin Sakura Pink
Silicone Strap, translucent Emerald Green Silicone Strap with a fine-grained
feel, and a Vibrant Orange breathable Nylon Strap.
The device highlights the
HUAWEI-developed TrueSleep 3.0, a sleep-tracking technology that comes with a
new Sleep mode to reduce potential sources of distraction, multi-dimensional
sleep metric tracking, and get a sleep score by just raising your wrist after
you wake up. The device also goes with the TrueSeen 5.0 tech with SpO2 tracking
blood oxygen tracking and heart rate measurements.
It also has the TrueSport tech
with 100 workout modes to choose from and can recognize when you are running or
walking, and even automatically detect any of the four major swimming sports.
This tech also provides real-time heart rate monitoring during swimming. The
new HUAWEI Band 8 can also provide data like running ability index (RAI),
weekly training load, recovery, and VO2Max.
The company also added the
TrueRelax tech with stress-busting breath exercises and even activity
reminders.For the ladies, the band can even track your menstrual cycle and
anticipate your next period. The band can last up to 14 days on a single charge
or 9 days on heavier usage. It can be charged in just 45 minutes which is 30
percent faster than the previous generation.
