The TCL 2023 Smart S Class TVs are now available for purchase in the US. The company has changed its naming convention and split its TV portfolio into affordable S Class and higher-performance Q Class. The series in question includes the S2, S3, and S4 models, ranging in size from 32 to 85 inches. All the models in the S Class bring a bezel-less design and pack some premium features.
TCL 2023 S Class is the company’s new line
of affordable TVs. It includes the S4, S3, and S2 models, across various sizes.
The new TVs feature a sleek metal bezel-less design, starting from the 32-inch
720p S2 model. If you opt for the 1080p S3 model, available in 32-inch,
40-inch, and 43-inch sizes, you’ll enjoy HDR pictures along with features like
Bluetooth audio support and a voice-enabled remote.
The S4 is where it starts to get serious.
The top-notch model boasts a 4K Ultra HD resolution with a Direct LED display,
providing support for Dolby Vision and HDR10. It features a 60Hz refresh rate
and Motion Rate of 240 with MEMC Frame Insertion technology. The S3 and S2
models also offer Direct LED-backlit displays, with a 60Hz refresh rate but the
resolutions are capped at 1080p and 720p, respectively. The S Class TVs run on
the Google TV Smart OS and are accompanied by a smart remote.
All the models come with built-in speakers
but with different power setups. The S2 has a 10W speaker setup, the S3 gets a
16W speaker setup, and the S4 flaunts a powerful 30W speaker setup.
Additionally, the S4 supports Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual: X technologies. All
three TVs come with various ports, including USB 2.0 and HDMI ARC ports.
Furthermore, S4 is equipped with an HDMI eARC port, enabling support for
higher-quality audio formats.
The 2023 TCL Smart S Class TVs are now
available in the US, and they’re priced to be affordable. The entry-level
32-inch S2 starts at just US$ 169.99, while the 32-inch S3 retails for US$ 199.99.
The smallest S4 model, a 45-inch TV, costs US$ 279.99.
