Philips is set to introduce two new gaming monitors under its Evnia series, catering to gamers looking for immersive visual experiences. The Evnia 25M2N3200W and the Evnia 25M2N5200P offer impressive features and specifications designed to enhance gaming performance.
The Evnia 25M2N3200W boasts a 24.5-inch VA
panel, delivering a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels with a pixel density of
90 PPI. Philips claims the monitor supports 10-bit color depth, although it
utilizes 8-bit with FRC instead of true 10-bit. With a peak brightness of 300
nits and a 3,000:1 contrast ratio, this monitor aims to provide vivid and
detailed visuals. HDR10 support and Flicker-Free technology contribute to an
improved viewing experience.
However, the standout feature of the Evnia
25M2N3200W is its impressive 240 Hz refresh rate, offering ultra-smooth image
rendering during fast-paced gaming. The monitor’s 1 ms GtG response time and
Adaptive-Sync support further enhance motion clarity. Connectivity options
include a 3.5 mm jack, DisplayPort 1.4, and two HDMI 2.0 ports. Philips plans
to launch the Evnia 25M2N3200W alongside the Evnia 25M2N5200P, which offers
additional features at a higher price point. The Evnia 25M2N5200P features a
24.5-inch IPS panel, providing a similar resolution to its counterpart.
However, it offers a higher peak brightness of 400 nits and a 1,000:1 contrast
ratio for richer visuals.
With 8-bit color depth and HDR10 coverage,
the Evnia 25M2N5200P delivers stunning color reproduction. It boasts a 280 Hz
refresh rate and 1 ms GtG response times, along with AMD FreeSync Premium
support, ensuring smooth gameplay with reduced screen tearing. In terms of
connectivity, the monitor includes a 3.5 mm jack, DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.0
ports, four USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, and a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-B port. Both
monitors offer VESA 100 x 100 mm mounts for compatibility with third-party
stands. While the Evnia 25M2N3200W lacks USB ports, the Evnia 25M2N5200P
provides convenient USB connectivity options.
The Evnia 25M2N3200W is expected to be
priced at £ 179.99 in the UK or € 219 in the Eurozone. On the other hand, the
Evnia 25M2N5200P will carry an MSRP of € 309 in the Eurozone and £ 269.99 in the
