LG Electronics has introduced its latest addition to the UltraGear gaming monitor series, the 49GR85DC. This monitor boasts a curved 49-inch display with a 32:9 aspect ratio and an ultra-fast 240Hz refresh rate, designed to enhance the gaming experience. This launch comes after the introduction of OLED Gaming Monitors at CES. The new gaming monitor, the 49GR85DC, which boasts a 49-inch Dual QHD resolution panel with a 1000R curvature. This means that the screen provides sharp and vibrant images that fill the user’s field of vision.
The monitor has a 240Hz refresh rate and a
3000:1 contrast ratio, which helps create a more responsive and immersive
gaming environment. Additionally, the monitor has a VESA DisplayHDR 1000
certification and a peak brightness of 1000-nit, which provides vivid colors
and deep blacks. The monitor has a virtually borderless design that lets users
stay focused on their game or work.
Apart from gaming, the monitor offers
several multitasking features, including Picture-in-Picture (PIP) and
Picture-by-Picture (PBP) modes. PIP mode displays another device’s content in a
floating window, while PBP mode works with multiple windows at once.
The monitor supports connectivity via
DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1, which provides a smooth gaming experience at 240Hz
in Dual QHD resolution. The monitor also has LED Hexagon backlighting and
support for DTS Headphone:X, which enhances the gaming experience with advanced
three-dimensional sound via wired headphones.
The LG UltraGear gaming monitor range, the
49GR85DC, which is now available for purchase in the U.S. at LG stores priced
at US$ 1,299. It will be launched in key markets across
Europe this month, followed by Asia later in the year.
