X Fold2 brings an 8.03-inch E6 AMOLED display with 2160 × 1916px resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel brings a 4:3.55 aspect ratio and a new droplet-style hinge system which is lighter and more durable compared to the one used on the X Fold and X Fold+ from last year. You also get a 6.53-inch AMOLED cover screen with 2520 × 1080px resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate and a more traditional 21:9 aspect ratio. Both panels feature ultrasonic fingerprint scanners and 16MP front-facing cameras housed in punch hole cutouts. In terms of dimensions, X Fold2 is 1.5mm slimmer than its predecessor in folded form and over 30 grams lighter.
X Fold2 incorporates a triple camera on
the back with a 50MP main unit IMX866V with OIS and Zeiss T* coating on the
lens, a 12MP ultrawide and a 12MP 2x portrait lens that also offers up to 20x
digital zoom. The camera system is supported by vivo’s self-developed V2 image
chip which touts improved HDR in stills and video and better noise reduction. X
Fold2 can record up to 8K video at 30fps and features a Zeiss Cinematic mode.
The foldable boots Android 13 with
OriginOS 3 on top, which features several enhancements for the large screen.
These include a taskbar for easy multitasking, a remote PC control feature and
adaptable UI in certain apps when you prop the hinge at an angle. Keeping
things running is a 4,800 mAh battery with 120W wired charging and 50W wireless
charging.
vivo X Fold2 comes in two trims – a
12/256GB priced at CNY 8,999 (US$ 1,308) and a 12/512GB version for CNY 9,999
(US$ 1,453).
