The vivo S17 Pro will have a triple camera, revealed Digital Chat Station. This is not surprising by itself, but the leakster revealed all three shooters will be usable, unlike previous vivo S smartphones that came with a 2MP depth sensor that barely contributed to imaging.
The new smartphone will have a 50MP main
camera with OIS and Sony IMX766V sensor behind. The ultrawide-angle shooter
will have an 8MP sensor, while the third camera will be a 12 MP portrait camera
(so likely 2x telephoto) with a Sony IMX663 sensor behind. That’s the very same
sensor sitting behind the periscope lens on the Sony Xperia 1 III.
The camera of the vivo S17 Pro is likely
to have a more basic 2x zoom instead of a fancy 5x, but that is still a massive
improvement over the previous generation. Traditionally, vivo relaunches the S
phones as V series outside the domestic market, meaning we may see a vivo V29
Pro internationally with the same camera setup.
