Only a few hours ago we announced the completed rollout of the new Redmi Note 12 series in Europe, but it turns out there was more to the story. At a regional launch event in Athens, Greece, Xiaomi unveiled two additional devices, aside from the Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12, and Redmi Note 12 4G that we've already talked about. Both of these were leaked in March.
First, let's discuss the Redmi Note 12 Pro
4G. This model was announced a couple of days ago in Indonesia, and it's now
making its way to Europe - at least some Southern and Eastern parts of Europe
for now, but it will likely get a wider release at some later point.
It comes with the very old at this point
Snapdragon 732G chipset and a 108MP main camera. It's got a 5,000 mAh battery
with 67W fast charging support, a 120Hz AMOLED screen, a 3.5mm headphone jack,
support for Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, and 4K video recording. The other
specs are a mystery right now, but we do know that it will be sold in Europe
for € 329.
Next up, we have official debut of the
Redmi Note 12S, which boasts a 6.43-inch 90Hz screen, which is most likely LCD
and a triple rear camera system with a 108MP main shooter.
This one is powered by the MediaTek Helio
G96 SoC and sports an IR blaster, a fingerprint sensor, IP53 dust and water
resistance certification, dual speakers, expandable storage, and a 5,000 mAh
battery with 33W charging support.
This one will be offered in Onyx Black,
Ice Blue, and Pearl Green for € 289. Interestingly, last month the FCC certified
a Redmi Note 12S that has a different camera island design, which makes the so
far incredibly confusing Redmi Note 12 lineup even more so.
