Japanese telecommunications giant Rakuten has got several subsidiaries one of which is Rakuten Kobo, a a Canadian company that sells e-books, audiobooks, e-readers and tablet computers. The company has recently launched the Kobo Elipsa 2E, a new and improved version of their popular Kobo Elipsa e-ink tablet.
The Kobo Elipsa 2E features a 10.3-inch E
Ink display that supports 16 shades of grey and has a new front-lit system, as
well as adjustable color temperature. The display supports touch and pen input.
This makes the device perfect for taking notes, sketching, or drawing. The
tablet comes with a stylus that has been updated with new features, including
USB Type-C charging, a built-in eraser, and a highlighter button. The stylus
also magnetically attaches to the Kobo Elipsa 2E, making it easy to store and
access.
The Kobo Elipsa 2E retains the same 32 GB
of storage and Wi-Fi 5 connectivity as its predecessor, but its quad-core
processor now runs at a 200 MHz higher boost clock. The tablet measures 192 x
227 x 7.5 mm and weighs 390 g, which is slightly heavier than the previous
version’s weight of 383 g.
While the Kobo Elipsa 2E is an impressive
device, it’s worth noting that the case is no longer included in the package.
The case is available as an accessory and retails for US$70. Despite the
absence of the case, the Kobo Elipsa 2E is a great device for avid readers,
students, and creatives who are looking for a versatile and convenient way to
read, take notes, and sketch on-the-go.
The Kobo Elipsa 2E is available for
purchase on the Rakuten Kobo website for US$ 399.99. With its improved features,
the Kobo Elipsa 2E is a great option for those who are looking for a
high-quality eReader and note-taking device in one.
