The Feiyu Pocket 3 cordless detachable gimbal camera has been launched for crowdfunding on Kickstarter. The wireless gimbal camera has a 3-axis stabilizer and delivers 4K 60fps videos. It is magnetic and can easily attach to many surfaces. The Pocket 3 features fast AI tracking follow and can be operated via its companion smartphone app.
The Feiyu Pocket 3 is being propped as the
world’s first detachable cordless gimbal camera. It is another delightful
offering from Feiyu Tech, a company with a track record of excellent cameras
and accessories. It is one of the oldest manufacturers of gimbals and
stabilizers. It is also a leading pioneer of gimbal technology. It launched its
first 3-axis handheld gimbal, the G3 in 2013.
In recent years, Feiyu Tech has sustained
a leading market presence in the global GoPro handheld gimbal market. Current
estimates put its market share as high as 70%. It has also previously partnered
successfully with Apple in releasing the G4 Pro smartphone gimbal. The camera
is pocket-sized, handy, and versatile. Its detachable handle helps to transform
it into a multi-purpose mountable and mobile camera. The gimbal can easily be
detached from its remote control handle and the camera can be used with the
Feiyu Cam app. The magnetic architecture in the gimbal makes it attachable to a
variety of products.
The gimbal camera outputs 4K 60fps videos
that are clear and beautiful when viewed on a larger screen. The higher frame
rate capability of the camera means it can capture fast-moving objects. The
gimbal’s camera is the 12MP Sony IMX577 image sensor with a 4X digital zoom for
the camera.
According to the Kickstarter information
sheet, the project will be funded only if it reaches its goal of US$ 5,000 by May
6, 2023. The campaign has however already exceeded the goal, as more than US$ 726,000 has been pledged as of April 13. The Kickstarter launch price of the
gadget will however go up by April 14. Feiyu assures its customers that the
gimbal camera will be available worldwide and deliveries will be expedited. The
gimbal camera also comes with a 1-year warranty.
