graphics cards. The former is the flagship model and offers top end performance
for extreme tasks, while the latter is still capable of handling intensive
tasks.
AMD’s Radeon PRO W7900 features 48GB of
GDDR6 VRAM, offers 61 FLOPS (FP32) of performance, and offers 1.5x times higher
geomean performance on SPECviewperf 2020. On the other hand the Radeon PRO
W7800 features 32GB of GDDR6 VRAM and offers 45 TFLOPS (FP32) of performance.
Talking about some of their notable features, the new cards are based on the
brand’s RDNA 3 architecture, which promises 50 percent higher ray tracing performance
and better optimization for rendering, video edition, and more thanks to better
optimization for AEC, D&M, and M&E based workloads.
Furthermore, the new chiplet design is
based on the 5nm Graphics Compute Die along with six 6nm Memory Cache Die (MCD).
