OnePlus is trickling out details about the Nord CE 3 Lite, which is expected to be unveiled next week. The phone is shaping up to be a massive upgrade over the Nord CE 2 Lite, at least for the most part. Here’s what the official landing page has to say about the phone. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 695, the same old chip as its predecessor and the one weak spot of the new version. The chipset will be equipped with 8GB of RAM plus up to 8 extra gigs of virtual RAM, along with 128GB storage.
The CE 3 Lite will be equipped with a
108MP main camera with native support for 3x zoom (up from a small 64MP sensor
with 0.7µm pixels). This will be a triple camera setup but the specs of the
other two modules are unknown (the old CE Lite had only a pair of 2MP helpers).
On the front, there will be a 6.72” display with 120Hz refresh rate (up from
6.59”). OnePlus fancies this as a gaming phone with a number of software
improvements that will be part of the OxygenOS 13.1 experience.
As revealed previously, the phone will be
equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging (up from 33W). OnePlus
promises “one day’s power” after 30 minutes of charging. The OnePlus Nord CE 3
Lite will be available in Pastel Lime and Chromatic Gray. OnePlus is keeping
mum on the pricing for now, the Nord CE 2 Lite launched at ₹ 20,000/£ 280/€ 310
last year.
The phone will launch alongside the Nord
Buds 2, which will feature 12.4mm dual drivers plus the BassWave enhancement
algorithm.
