The vivo X90 series was announced in November 2022 in China, and today the company brings two of the phones to the international stage - the Dimensity 9200-powered vivo X90 and vivo X90 Pro. The X90 Pro+ isn't leaving China for now and it's unclear if that will ever change.
The vanilla X90 and X90 Pro share a lot of
hardware - they have the same 6.78” 10-bit AMOLED screen with up to 120Hz
refresh rate and 1260p resolution. They are almost the same size, and both have
120W fast charging over the wire. Another common trait is the Zeiss-tuned
cameras. The X90 and X90 Pro have the vivo V2 ISP, which enables the Super
Night Video in 4K and AI Night View modes. The former lets you records videos
in very dark spots, while the latter stacks up 10 RAW images, maintaining HDR
and fine-tunes the colors and tones of each segment.
The vivo X90 has 50MP main, 12MP ultrawide
and 12MP 2x telephoto cameras. The X90 Pro is decidedly more exciting with a
1”-type Sony IMX989 sensor for the 50MP main camera. There is also a 50MP 2x
telephoto camera and a 12MP ultrawide unit. vivo did not reveal any details
about the pricing of these phones. We only know the vivo X90 will be available
in Black and Blue in Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Thailand, and Malaysia.
The vivo X90 Pro will be sold only in
Legendary Black, which has a leather-like finish on the back. The available
markets are: Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Thailand, Malaysia in Asia, the United
Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, Czechia, Austria, Romania,
Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, and Serbia.
