After launching the Poco X5 5G and Poco X5 Pro in the global market. The Xiaomi sub-brand is now working on the Poco X5 GT. It is expected to launch as a mid-range offering in the global market. The device has already made an appearance on TKDN and BIS databases, and now, it has completed the IMDA certification.
The POCO X5 GT has been spotted on IMDA
certification with model number 23049PCD8G. The listing confirms that the
device will offer 5G support and will also have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC
support. Other than these details, no other information has been revealed by
the listing. However, we already know that the device will be a rebranded
version of the upcoming Redmi Note 12 Turbo. The Note 12 Turbo is expected to
exclusively launch in China, therefore the company is rebranding it under the
POCO banner for the global market.
According to rumors, the POCO X5 GT may
feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh
rate. Its performance could be powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 7
Gen 2 processor, combined with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
The phone’s camera setup is speculated to
be similar to that of the Redmi Note 12 Pro, including a 50MP primary sensor,
an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. The front-facing camera
would be located in a punch hole and have a 16MP sensor. Additionally, the
phone may come with a substantial 5500mAh battery and 67W fast charging
support.
